I don't know about you but when I'm feeling blue I put my ipod on blast and sing along to some happy tunes until I feel better. And it works.

Here, and without any shame, are my favorite tunes to blast right now and the lines that make me love them so much. Music = Poetry.

P.S. Everything sounds better on the Frends Headphones HB (oops, I mean Santa) got me for xmas. Note only are they the visual dopeness but the memory foam ear pads (is that a thing?) feel so good on my sensitive head and the sound quality is best ever.

Raise Your Glass, Pink
"Don't be fancy, just get dancey.
Why so serious?
So raise your glass if you are wrong, in all the right ways.
All my underdogs, we will never, never be, anything but loud
(and nitty gritty)"

Moral: Cancer is a bummer, but you don't have to be one all the time.

Stand, Rascal Flatts
Cause when push comes to shove
You taste what you're made ofYou might bend ‘til you break‘Cause it's all you can take
On your knees you look upDecide you've had enoughYou get mad, you get strongThan you stand."
Moral: You break, you get strong and then you kick ass.
Cry (Just a Little), Bingo Players (before the Flo Rida remix)
"Oh no, gave up on the riddle I cry just a little when I think of letting go"
Moral: It's ok to cry (just a little) when you think of letting go of your breasts, especially with a dope beat.

Titanium, David Guetta & Sia
"You shoot me down, but I won't fallI am titanium"
Moral: I am like a sick golf club, or a bullet proof car. This might be rough but I can take it.
For Your Glory, Hayden Panattiere from the TV show Nashville
"Feeling like a wounded soldierStrength is not enough
And I can't win this battle on my own...
Your songs are stored inside my heart
So break me apart
It's for your glory"

Moral: I know, I know - it's a little christian (which I am not) but I believe in a higher power and I love the idea of needing to be "broken open" to find the glory inside your heart - through challenge comes strength (notice a theme)

More to come.. stay tuned :)
